Darren Orbach, MD PhD

Darren Orbach is Co-Director of the Cerebrovascular Surgery and Interventions Center at Boston Children’s Hospital and Vice President/President Elect of the World Federation of Interventional & Therapeutic Neuroradiology. He has active research interests in vascular anomalies of the brain and spine in children and fetuses, ranging from advanced MRI-based techniques for better characterization of these lesions to developing creative treatment approaches. His team has pioneered a technique for performing transuterine fetal embolization of vein of Galen malformation, and he is PI of a clinical trial to assess the safety and efficacy of this approach.
